Terms of service

1. The Service

TripBudget (the "Service") is a trip-cost estimation and travel-booking platform operated by Cihat Karakoyun, sole trader, based in Athens, Greece ("we", "us"). By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you ("you") agree to these terms.

2. What we provide

The Service provides itemized trip-cost estimates and, on paid tiers, allows you to request real bookings (flights, hotels, transfers, activities) through third-party providers. Estimates are advisory. Bookings are contractual — once confirmed by the supplier, they are subject to the supplier's own terms, including their cancellation and refund policies.

3. Accuracy of estimates

We make a good-faith effort to keep estimates accurate within the published confidence bands. Travel prices fluctuate; the estimate at time T is not a binding quote at time T+1. We do not warrant that any actual price you encounter at a supplier will match the estimate.

4. Payments

Subscription fees (Compass, Atlas) are billed monthly in advance via Stripe. Booking payments are processed by Stripe and, where applicable, settled to suppliers via Wise. VAT is calculated according to the applicable EU regime (TOMS for travel-services margin, standard VAT otherwise).

Refunds for subscription fees: pro-rated within the first 14 days of any new subscription, on request. Refunds for bookings depend on the supplier's policy and are initiated by us on your behalf — refundable rates are refunded in full minus any non-refundable fee the supplier charges.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Scrape, mass-export, or republish destination data without written permission.
• Use the Service to commit fraud, including testing stolen card numbers.
• Resell access to the Service except under the Atlas tier's API terms.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code or model weights.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

6. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the fees you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim or (b) €100. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost trips, missed connections, or supplier-side cancellations beyond our control.

7. Termination

You may close your account at any time from the dashboard. We may terminate or suspend your account on notice for material breach of these terms or with 30 days' notice for convenience. On termination, your data is retained for 30 days then deleted (except where law requires longer retention, e.g. tax records).

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Greece. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Athens, without prejudice to any non-waivable consumer rights you have under your country of residence.
